Genauso geht es uns jetzt nach dem Enactus World Cup 2024 (EWC), der dieses Jahr in der kasachischen Hauptstadt Astana stattfand. Oktober mit dem iTwin4Good &amp; Action With Africa Challenge Final, bei dem Enactus Germany als Veranstalter fungierte:&nbsp;Drei Präsentatorinnen von Enactus Mannheim traten vormittags mit ihrem Projekt Greenscape im Finale der&nbsp;iTwin4Good Championship gegen Teams aus Brasilien, Kanada, Großbritannien und Irland an. Bei der iTwin4Good Championship handelt es sich um einen Wettbewerb von Bentley Systems, der Studierenden Zugang zu hochkomplexer Softworte bietet, mithilfe derer sich reale Szenerien wie Produktionshallen, Infrastruktur uvm. in "digitale Zwillinge", also iTwins, verwandeln lassen. Die teilnehmenden Teams aus Ägypten, Nigeria, Tunesien und Simbabwe präsentierten innovative Lösungen für Herausforderungen auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent. Die Bekanntgabe der TOP 6 Platzierungen Ehrung der übrigen Gewinner folgte zwei Tage später während der Action With Africa Awards Ceremony. Oktober, startete der Enactus World Cup dann offiziell. Menschen aus aller Welt kamen zusammen: Studierende, Vertreter:innen der Länder, Sponsor:innen, Unternehmer:innen und Alumni, die die Entwicklung von Enactus verfolgen. Der World Cup findet traditionell in großen Hallen statt, doch trotzdem schafft es Enactus immer wieder, ein familiäres Gefühl zu erzeugen. Es fühlt sich an, als würde man nach langer Zeit alte Freund:innen wiedersehen.Jedes Land brachte für die Cultural Celebration &amp; Fair etwas Besonderes mit. Wir von Enactus Germany entschieden uns dieses Jahr für Goodies und Produkte von unserem Partner Haribo. Der diesjährige National Champion, das Team rund um Enactus Karlsruhe mit seinem Projekt DeBaCode, hatte außerdem einen 🎵 <a href="https://youtu.be/cZwCC5nrAAc?si=La1fFatN9Lki1tRt">EWC Song produziert</a> und einen passenden Videoclip gedreht, der am deutschen Stand viel Aufmerksamkeit erregte. Nachdem alle Besucher zum Beispiel Kaffee aus Puerto Rico getrunken, Süßigkeiten aus Brasilien probiert und eine VR-Brille aus Korea getestet hatten, fand der Tag seinen Höhepunkt in einer beeindruckenden Eröffnungsfeier, der Welcome Ceremony. Tänzer:innen, inspirierende Vorträge, der Recap-Film vom letzten Jahr und die allgemeine Stimmung im Saal sorgten dafür, dass man, obwohl man selbst nicht auf der Bühne stand, eine Aufregung und Vorfreude verspürte. Oktober, präsentierten alle National Champions ihre Enactus Projekte in der sogenannten Opening Round (dt. Vorrunde), bestehend aus acht Gruppen mit bis zu vier Teams. Besonders beeindruckend war die gegenseitige Unterstützung zwischen den Ländern, gerade in einer Zeit, in der wir täglich von globalen Unsicherheiten hören. Der Enactus World Cup zeigt, dass ein gemeinsames, positives Ziel den Zusammenhalt stärken kann – selbst in einem Wettbewerbsumfeld. Das Team aus Karlsruhe setzte sich gegen Ägypten und Irland durch und nahm schließlich zusammen mit Mexiko am TOP 16 Wettbewerb teil. Nach der anschließenden Auslosung (engl. League Draw) landete Team Deutschland in einer Gruppe mit Brasilien, Großbritannien und Gastgeber Kasachstan. Der Pitch lief sehr gut, doch es war Geduld gefragt bis zur Bekanntgabe der TOP 4 am Freitagmittag (4. Oktober).&nbsp;Und die Geduld wurde belohnt! DeBaCode&nbsp;schaffte es tatsächlich in die TOP 4 und zog als 'Team Germany' zusammen mit Teams aus Südkorea, Marokko und dem Vize-World Champion 2023 Tunesien ins Finale ein. Das Team aus Karlsruhe darf sich dennoch über 2,000€ Projektunterstützung freuen und mehr als stolz sein auf das, was sie erreicht haben! That's how we feel after the Enactus World Cup 2024 (EWC), which took place this year in Astana, Kazakhstan. The iTwin4Good Championship is a competition organised by Bentley Systems that gives students access to a highly complex software that can be used to transform real-life scenarios such as production halls, infrastructure and much more into "digital twins", so-called iTwins. The participating teams from Egypt, Nigeria, Tunisia and Zimbabwe presented innovative solutions to challenges on the African continent. The announcement of the TOP 6 rankings and the honouring of the remaining winners took place two days later at the Action With Africa Awards Ceremony. People from all over the world came together: Students, country representatives, sponsors, entrepreneurs and alumni who follow the development of Enactus. The World Cup is traditionally held in large halls, but Enactus always manages to create a family atmosphere. It is like seeing old friends after a long time.Each country brought something special to the Cultural Celebration &amp; Fair. This year, Enactus Germany chose goodies and products from our partner Haribo. This year's National Champions, the team from Enactus Karlsruhe with their project DeBaCode, had also produced a <a href="https://youtu.be/cZwCC5nrAAc?si=La1fFatN9Lki1tRt">🎵 EWC song</a> and made a video clip, which attracted a lot of attention at the German stand. After all the visitors had drunk coffee from Puerto Rico, tasted sweets from Brazil and tested VR glasses from Korea, the day culminated in an impressive opening ceremony, the Welcome Ceremony. Dancers, inspirational speeches, a retrospective film of last year and the general atmosphere in the room ensured that even if you weren't on stage, you felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. The mutual support between the countries was impressive, especially at a time when we hear about global uncertainties on a daily basis. The Enactus World Cup shows that a common, positive goal can strengthen cohesion - even in a competitive environment. The team from Karlsruhe, Germany, beat out Egypt and Ireland to join Mexico in the TOP 16 competition. In the subsequent qualifying draw, Germany were drawn in a group with Brazil, Great Britain and hosts Kazakhstan. Things went very well on the pitch, but patience was required until the TOP 4 were announced on Friday afternoon (4 October).And their patience was rewarded! DeBaCode actually made it into the TOP 4 and entered the final as 'Team Germany' alongside teams from South Korea, Morocco and 2023 World Cup runners-up Tunisia. The team from Karlsruhe will receive €2,000 in project support and can be very proud of what they have achieved!
